Gentle Leader Training Lead

When we were first able to walk Leeroy I loved it, he loved it and it was good to finally get out with him.
But the bigger he got; the harder walking him got for me. Not for my boyfriend because he actually does what he tells him to do and only slightly pulls, plus he's a big guy so it didn't really bother him.

I started to hate walking him, the dog constantly trying to pull ahead would have my hand shaking for over an hour after I returned home.

One day I was waiting for my bus when I saw a woman walking towards me with a massive husky - twice the size of Leeroy. I was amazed because her dog was just calmly walking beside her and she looked happy and unstressed. I don't normally talk to strangers in the street but the closer she got the more desperate I got to ask her how such a thing was possible until it burst out of me as she passed.

She recommended Beaphar's Gentle Leader training lead. She said that it took a few days for her dog to get used to the lead but after that the difference was like night and day. She was right! It took Leeroy about a week to get used to it. At first, he was really pissed off that he couldn't pull, he would stop occasionally and try to get it off - which made me nervous but I soon learned that it was secure and he learned that getting it on meant walkies!

So, you have to get this if walking is hard for you. It's not a muzzle and they can still open their mouths, eat and hang around with the tongue out. But honestly, this is the best thing I've ever bought; and it's only £8!

Before we got Leeroy I never really thought much about dog hair. I had never had a dog before so this was something I was really unprepared for. I thought that if I brushed his coat every morning than there would be none around the house...

It's everywhere. Everywhere. On the sofa's, the cushions, the throws, our clothes, worktops, tables and it's even managed to get on the cooker....

A while ago I was lying in bed and I could feel hairs on my pillow, that's when I realised what I needed in my life - A Handheld Vaccum! I went straight onto Amazon and stayed up for hours trying to find the best one for pet hair and planning my pitch I'd use to convice Andrew that we needed this.
The one I decided on was the above Vax H86-GA-P Gator Pet Handheld Vacuum Cleaner. At this moment, it's sitting at £59. I got mine for just under £50 and it was worth it. There are cheaper handheld vaccums on Amazon, you could get one for aound £20 but this one is specifically for pet owners.

It's easy enough to carry, and to change when it's full but I would normally have to charge mine overnight to get a good use of it. It's much easier hoovering stairs with this too, and since it's handheld - I can just run it over pillows, our bed and even worktops.

So, if pet hair is driving you crazy...a handheld vaccum is what you need in your life!
